Please forgive me for being a little slow. I am still learning. I know we are supposed to give to people in need. There’s a person in my life who is always running out of money, and he asks me for money so he can buy groceries. Except, he’s a total jerk to me and acts incredibly ungrateful for everything I do for him. Do you think I will get in trouble with God if I stop giving this guy money? Am I still required to give my money to someone who acts this way?
.
Those who pursue the hope of Christ, following after the love of Christ who gave even His own life, are always troubled before God about what they cannot do, and therefore they continually ask, so that they may fill up what is lacking, accomplish, correct, and be changed. But the foolish faith of the flesh, since it only looks at what it can do well, always rationalizes with excuses and cunning about what it cannot do, and thus cannot correct the evil habits of sinning.
Religionists cannot escape the sinner’s path of endlessly repeating sin until death. These are by no means true Christians. The praise or reward given to those who do not live the life of a true Christian is called “the righteousness of man.” But the righteousness that is worthy to lead into heaven and salvation is called “the righteousness of God.”(The love of God). The righteousness that follows human will is always a conditional love, swayed by feelings, circumstances, and emotions. But the love of God is unshaken by emotions or circumstances; it is an unchanging love that never wavers.
The most important question is: For what purpose do I believe in God? Those who believe in God only for their own happiness, hope, ideals, success, and blessings, while serving Him alongside the world and material wealth, will inevitably pursue all sorts of corruption, heresies, and lies that depart from the Word of Scripture. Therefore, serving God while sinning repeatedly can never lead to being born again.
In other words, “the righteousness of man,” which comes from one’s own will, stops at a few good deeds, but cannot be sustained as a way of life. True Christian good works are not carried out in lust and greed, and they are works of love empowered by God’s love that frees from sin, a divine power that puts to death the sinful habits inherent in human nature. Because they are within the grace of God, who grants the power of love, believers obtain the wisdom of divine power that continually kills the evil habits arising from lust and greed. It is always with the spiritual praise of God’s love. However, the love practiced by a religionist who has never received the love in which the power of Christ works is always a love that cannot help but be shaken.
What is most important is to obtain the wisdom of God that follows His love, in which the power of God works to put to death the evil habits arising from man’s nature, which cannot help but give birth to lust and desire. The righteousness of man, when praised by others, loses its reward and thus cannot be the righteousness of God. Yet today, countless churches and pastors do not even know the difference between the righteousness of God and the righteousness of man. Because they only teach service, charity, and good deeds related to their own church, the believers all live with duplicity—acting one way inside the church and another outside, being different outwardly and inwardly, speaking one thing yet doing another. As a result, instead of truly living in the love of Christ that sacrifices even one’s own life, they have denied it, replacing it with deceitful conduct, feigned holiness, pretended kindness, false humility, and outward displays of goodness through smooth words and flattering lips. This abominable duplicity has only brought about the outcome of dishonoring the love of Christ.
Human good deeds are always shaken by circumstances, emotions, or passing moods. Every human being, by the habits born of their own lusts and desires, unconsciously commits the seven emotional sins—envy, jealousy, hatred, pride, lust, wrath, and falsehood—which are punishable by death (Romans 1:28-32). God’s love, however, is not of human lust and desire, but is good works performed by divine authority through the hope of Christ, following after the power of the love of Christ, who gave His very life on the cross. Therefore, it is not the good works that appear and disappear according to human zeal, pride, awakening, or mood, but rather it is the power of God’s love that endures.
All human beings, from a very young age, are inevitably raised indiscriminately under these seven hidden emotional sins: the spirit of envy works in those who envy, the spirit of jealousy in those who are jealous, the spirit of hatred in those who hate, the spirit of pride in those who are proud, the spirit of lust in those who harbor lust, the spirit of anger in those who harbor wrath, and the spirit of falsehood in those who practice lies. In other words, it is the same seven demons that once worked in Mary Magdalene. Moreover, the acts you have performed are influenced by the spirit of morality, not by the righteousness of God. The righteousness that leads to salvation is the power and strength of God’s love that molds His divine nature within you. This is a practice overflowing with gratitude before God, unshaken by emotions.
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.(Ephesians 4 : 15~16)
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.(Romans 5 : 3~5)
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.(Titus 2 : 11~15)
Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.(Colossians 2 : 18~19)
For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.(Titus 3 : 3~7)
Only the goodness and righteousness that follow the hope of Christ reveal the unshakable righteousness of God. Good deeds born of human will, however, cannot help but collide with reality and circumstances. Therefore, while committing the sins of the seven emotions, their practice of goodness and righteousness cannot help but lose its lasting meaning.
He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him; When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart.(Proverbs 26 : 24~28)
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.(Luke 11 : 24~26)(Matthew 12 : 43)
On the path of sinners belonging to the world and the flesh, where sin cannot but be repeated until death, within the carnal faith that is bound by the evil habits of the flesh, goodness and righteousness may provide some help in directing one toward the love of God, but they cannot bring about the character of God that is worthy of leading to heaven and salvation. Instead, it only results in missing the opportunity and occasion to receive the power within God’s love, where the power of God works to kill the sinful habits and members of the flesh that cannot help but repeat evil until death. All deeds born of human emotion and human will are by no means the love of divine power manifested within the unwavering love of God.
All of this is written throughout the Scriptures. For deeper understanding, enter into Dialogues with the Almighty—there you will truly see the great and marvelous mysteries and truths of God. Your salvation is here. Pray for tears that can love the poor and the afflicted with an unchanging love. Pray for the mercy to love even your enemies. In man, there are no tears that can love even an enemy. Your prayer is needed all the more. And rebuke, too, is needed within the Word. Yet you do not know the justice of God that follows after love. May you gain the precious time to learn the very reality of God’s love, and I earnestly hope that you truly become a child of love, beautifully resembling the very character of God.
The children of God never commit sin. Christians, however, do not remember the Word that says the children of God are set free from sin, and thus they are nothing but devils who can do nothing but commit sin until the day they die.
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.(1 John 5 : 18~19)
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.(1 John 3 : 5~10)
A Christian does not commit sin, nor does a child of God commit sin (1 John 5:18–20) (1 John 3:5–10). Yet all Christians are deceived. Because their faith is only for their own happiness, success, ideals, and blessings that belong to the world and the flesh, they can do nothing but serve God together with the world and with material things, pursuing nothing but corruption, heresies, lusts, and lies. Their own sins, repeated throughout their lifetime, bear witness to this. Living a life no different from worldly people whose sins are inevitably repeated until death, they act as if this were the faith of Christ, as if it were the life of Christ that follows after the love of Christ.
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.(1 John 5 : 18~20)
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.(1 John 3 : 3~10)
…But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.(Romans 6 : 16~18)
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.(Romans 8 : 19~21)
The long habit of repenting and then turning back to commit sin again has, in the end, produced nothing but shameless habits that treat sin lightly and further grow bolder and more brazen toward sin, so that most pastors and believers are becoming monsters. Thus, the repentance of Christians is not the life of a true Christian who, by the power of God that springs forth from His love which brings about rebirth, renewal, and transformation, lives as the light and salt that embodies the character of God, becoming an example and model to spread His love throughout the earth. Rather, it is a wretched reality that those who claim to believe in God—Catholics and Christians alike—are becoming monsters who cannot even feel the reproach of their conscience (spirit), deceived by their arrogant pride of having reflected on their sins and their abominable assurance that their sins have been forgiven.
Because it is a fleshly faith born of their own lust, seeking only their own blessings, ideals, happiness, and success, their God is nothing more than a tool to fulfill the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes in this life. In other words, they are not the children of God who, by carrying the cross and following the love of Christ, devote their entire lives and even their very souls to fulfill the holy will of God and through the life of a true Christian who pursues the hope of Christ, grow into the character of God. Instead, they are those who merely put forward the name of God and the pretense of Christ, imitating the outward form and appearance of Christ, yet rejecting the true life of Christ that follows the love of the cross and pursues the hope of Christ even to the sacrifice of one’s life. They are pastors who only put forward human words, teachings, and emotions without ever manifesting the power, the testimony, or the fruit of God, and believers who, relying on themselves, repeat nothing but their own pride, will, assurance, and awakenings until death, endlessly repeating sin throughout their entire lives. And as the inevitable outcome of repeating sin all their lives, they are becoming ignorant and foolish monsters who do not even know that the conscience is the spirit. This is the dreadful reality of Christians today.
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.(2 Thessalonians 2 : 3~12)
Just as the sermons of all religions lead people to rely on themselves for awakening, determination, and resolution, so also the sermons of Christianity testify through the sins of its believers that such awakenings, determinations, and resolutions dependent on the self cannot bring about rebirth. They are nothing more than human teachings and inspirations that merely imitate the truth. In other words, the truth of God is that the love of God is poured into our hearts so that His power works, transcending the limits of human awakening, determination, and resolution that cannot help but repeat sin until death. To summarize, it is receiving the divine power that surpasses the limits of weak human awakenings, determinations, and resolutions that are bound to repeat sin. Truth is that which leads us to obtain the power of God that springs forth from the love of God. But teachings and inspirations that put forward only words and theories are merely human teachings and inspirations that cause people to rely on themselves.
Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour. Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith. Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.(Jeremiah 23 : 30~32)(Jeremiah 27 : 15)(Jeremiah 14 : 14~18)(Ezekiel 13 : 2~10)(Jeremiah 23 : 25~32)(Jeremiah 29 : 8~9)
Today, countless believers take human teachings and inspirations as if they were the grace of God, or the revelation of God, or the will of God, or the teaching of God, or the inspiration of God. Yet the true power that governs and works within us is the mighty authority that slays the evil habits, instincts, and members of man which otherwise cannot help but repeat sin. In other words, the truth of God is not words and theories, but that which grants divine power to transcend the limits of human awakening, determination, and resolution—things that man can never achieve on his own. However, there are no believers who truly teach and learn this.
Instead of teaching the power of God, they deify man-made religion and teach people to become slaves to religion. The forms of religion that are founded only upon theology, scholarship, and knowledge that arbitrarily abuse the Scriptures and interpret them in ways that keep people from truly following the Word are structures that can never transcend human limits. In other words, from the beginning of creation until today, the greatest adversary, the greatest enemy, and the very antichrist before God has been man-made religion—religion created by those who claim to believe in God.
All religionists cannot help but repeat sin until the day they die, and there is a fundamental reason for this. The reality of religion—which deifies man-made religion that cannot manifest divine power, and enslaves people to it—inevitably causes both teachers and learners to absolutize and deify themselves according to their own taste and their own assertions. Thus, the teachers interpret and explain according to their own hearts, and the learners interpret and receive according to their own hearts, so that their own interpretations and explanations become the absolute faith, the Word, and God to them. This is a faith centered upon their own thoughts, judgments, and standards that cannot transcend the limits of man, and therefore the faith and belief of Christians and all religionists are, in the end, no different from the lives of worldly people who cannot help but repeat sin throughout their entire lives.
Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee. And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; she shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.(Levitus 19 : 19~20)
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.(James 1 : 27)
Because they serve God along with the world and with material things, pursuing endless desires of the flesh and the lusts that all worldly people seek—such as their own family happiness, success, ideals, and blessings—the reality of their faith is one that inevitably denies the love of Christ, being a faith that puts forward only words and theories. Therefore, all their prayers are vain prayers. Christians who pray only for family problems, children’s problems, business problems, workplace problems, love problems, health problems, and such matters of the world and the flesh—which are bound to repeat sin throughout their entire lives—are not true Christians, for a true Christian neither lives nor dies for himself. The life of a true Christian is not lived for the self, but rather, by following the love of God, to deny oneself and to put to death the cause of sin that cannot help but be repeated. In other words, it is to receive the power and authority of God that leads one to obtain the power of God which kills the evil habits (members) that otherwise cannot help but repeat sin, so that one may live the life of Christ that pursues the hope of Christ (Ephesians 1:16–22) (Romans 6:17–23) (Romans 8:19–21) (Romans 7:5–6).
Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;(1 Peter 2 : 11)
The interpretations and explanations of sermons that justify and excuse themselves, who cannot help but repeat sin all their lives, have in most cases unconsciously deified themselves before God. Because they serve God along with the world and with material things, their fleshly faith inevitably produces all manner of corruption, lust, heresy, and falsehood. Thus, their prideful state—where their own interpretations and explanations according to their taste and their own thoughts become their faith—reveals that they have become the greatest adversary, the greatest enemy, and the very antichrist before God, though they do not know it. It is the blind leading the blind.
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.….(2 Thessalonians 2 : 9~17)
The majority of faith today is not a faith that believes according to the standard of the Scriptures, but rather, because their own preferences, their own thoughts, their own assertions, their own standards, and their own judgments have become the Word, have become Christ, and have become God, their claims, standards, and judgments that deviate from the Scriptures have long since been unconsciously absolutized and deified. For this reason, since most faiths are taught and learned in such a hardened and obstinate manner, the majority of Christians cannot escape from the fleshly faith that must repeat sin until death, and their faith is but a desperate struggle.
The repentance of Christ, which reflects one’s sinful self in the light of the Scriptures and leads one to turn back in order to attain the repentance befitting rebirth, begins only in those who desire to live the life of Christ. But the repentance of Christians who ceaselessly repeat sin is in vain and of no effect. The fundamental purpose of repentance is to be born again in such a way that one never sins again, a repentance unto rebirth that does not commit sin at all. Therefore, Christians who continue to repeat sin, whoever they may be, are not true Christians. A Christian does not commit sin. Likewise, the children of God do not commit sin, for they belong within the love of God, having received the power of God that brings liberation from sin.
Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:(1 Corinthians 1 : 6~7)
All religion is made by man. Therefore, no matter what kind of religionist one may be, or what kind of religion one may believe in, one can never escape the limits of man. For this reason, even Christians cannot help but commit sin throughout their entire lives. Unlike the children of love who follow the will of God and dwell in the love of God, Christians have become slaves to man-made religion, revering it as though it were God, as though it were an idol. Thus, they have become slaves to the inspiration and teachings of words, enslaved to the awakenings, determinations, and resolutions of their own flesh, which only follow human passion, so that they cannot help but repeat sin until death. And so, most Christians have long since become slaves of sin, bound within evil members and habits that cannot help but repeat sin until the end of their lives.
Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor! Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold? And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty. Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?(Matthew 23 : 16~28)
Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these. For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour; If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt: Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever. Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit. Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not; And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations? Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD.(Jeremiah 7 : 4~11)
And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.(Matthew 21 : 13)
Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.(Malachi 3 : 8)
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?…(Matthew 7 : 15~18)
The truth of God is the power of God that is revealed in the love of God. When the love of God is poured into our hearts, the truth leads us to obtain the divine power that works to put to death the evil human habits that cannot be overcome by mere awakening, determination, or resolution. The mighty power of God that leads us to be set free from sin and to be born again is love. In love is power, in love is wisdom, and in love is truth. Therefore, it is not human learning, scholarship, knowledge, or theory that is learned and studied by the human head and intellect, as with men (Colossians 2:2–23) (Galatians 4:9–11) (Isaiah 28:10–13) (Proverbs 19:27–29).
Those who continue in sin prove that they belong to the world, and the Scripture already testifies that they are children of the devil. You also are not a true Christian, and that is why today’s outcome has come upon you. I now present to you the only way of escape. Continue in reading carefully until the end, and you will see the path of life. If you go to the site Dialogues with the Almighty and read the contents therein, you will find all the answers you seek, and you will also be shown how you must now live.
…He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin;…(1 John 3 : 5~10)
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.(John 8 : 34)
But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.(James 4 : 16~17)
And because their faith is that of lifelong listeners who seek only their own happiness, success, ideals, and prosperity—instead of the beautiful sacrificial love of Christ and the holy will of God—even the social service, kindness, and charity that anyone in the world can do are paraded as if they were the love of the cross that lays down one’s life; thus Christians have become a laughingstock to the devotees of every false religion. Most such Christians act one way inside the church and another outside; their outward show and inner reality differ; their words and deeds do not match. They perfect only a duplicitous craft that pretends to be holy, kind, courteous, humble, and good. These are Christians who cannot escape the human limit of repeating sin until death. This is because neither all religions nor Christianity was made by God; they were made by humans for their lusts—therefore, within Christianity, not even a mustard-seed of faith, evidence, or fruit appears.
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.(Matthew 17 : 20)
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.(John 15 : 7)
Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.(1 John 3 : 21~24)
That in over two thousand years of the history of Catholicism and Christianity not a single person has shown even the power, the testimony, or the fruit as small as a grain of mustard seed, proves that there has never been even one who possessed the faith of Christ that is blameless before God. And this clearly demonstrates that all religions today which claim to believe in God are, before Him, the greatest adversary, the greatest enemy, and the greatest antichrist. Therefore, it is also clear proof that all believers and all who teach, unable to come out of the path of sinners, cannot help but repeat sin all their lives until death. The undeniable evidence of this is the very sins that are repeated in you. But the testimony of the children of God and of Christians is the power and might revealed in love—the power and might of goodness and righteousness that overcomes all sin.
Those who have not even a mustard seed of faith, who cannot help but repeat sin until death, are children of the devil. Yet they claim themselves to be children of God, true Christians, shepherds of God, receivers of the Holy Spirit, speakers in tongues, workers of power, prophets, or witnesses. They rationalize the signs and wonders of demons—the very phenomena found among shamans and false religions who serve other spirits, never found in the Scriptures—as though they were from God, as though from Christ, as though from the Holy Spirit. Within Christianity, they teach communion with spirits as though it were receiving the Holy Spirit; they call incantations and sorcery that summon spirits “tongues”; they call fortune-telling and divination “prophecy”; they call every kind of demonic wonder “the miracles of God.” And because they serve God together with the world and material wealth, their prayers—being for nothing but worldly ideals, hopes, happiness, blessings—are prayers for lust in which demons must inevitably work. Thus those who seek the world receive the god of this world; those who seek wealth receive the god of wealth; those who seek lust receive the god of lust; those who seek carnal passion receive carnal passion—as if such were God, or Christ, or an angel, disguised and masquerading.
Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.(Mark 16 : 9~11)
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.(2 Corinthians 11 : 13~15)
Because people serve God together with the world and with material things, they end up teaching and learning every kind of corruption, heresy, and falsehood, and thus all kinds of deceiving spirits are at work. To those who seek the world, the god of the world works; to those who seek material things, the god of material things works; to those who seek lust, the god of lust works; and to those who seek carnal desire, the god of carnal desire works—disguising themselves as if they were God or Christ. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.(1 John 4 : 6)
Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols; That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols. Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations. For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to inquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself: And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.(Ezekiel 14 : 4~11)
Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? For all those things hath mine hand made, and those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word. He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog’s neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine’s blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.(Isaiah 66 : 1~4)
Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.(1 Corinthians 12 : 1~2)
For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.(1 Corinthians 8 : 5~6)
Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.(Jeremiah 10 : 11)
O LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.(Isaiah 26 : 13)
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.(2 Corinthians 4 : 4)
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.(1 Corinthians 2 : 12)
The LORD will be terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.(Zephaniah 2 : 11)
For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.(Exodus 12 : 12)
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.(2 Corinthians 4 : 4)
Thus those who seek the world receive the god of this world; those who seek wealth receive the god of wealth; those who seek lust receive the god of lust; those who seek carnal passion receive carnal passion—as if such were God, or Christ, or an angel, disguised and masquerading.
.
